Central Railway has notified recruitment for 59 posts under RRC/CR/01/2026 — Sports Quota. Applications are accepted online from 15 Jul 2026 to 14 Aug 2026. The prescribed qualification is A degree for Level 5 and 4; Class 12 or an ITI for Level 3 and 2; Class 10 or an ITI for Level 1, and the age limit is 18 to 25 years before category relaxation is applied. The vacancies are spread across 3 distinct posts, and the category-wise split for each is set out in the vacancy table below.

Selection is made through Document verification and trial, Assessment of sports achievements and Game skill, physical fitness and the coach's observation, followed by the remaining stages set out below. Selected candidates are placed in the pay scale of ₹18,000 to ₹29,200 initial pay, depending on the level. The place of posting is Central Railway, Mumbai.

The application fee is ₹500, of which ₹400 is refunded on attending the trial for General, OBC and EWS. The entire process is completed online, from registration through to fee payment and the final printout of the confirmation page. Check the notification for whether a correction window is offered, because most fields cannot be amended once the form is submitted.

Read the official notification in full before you begin the form. Eligibility, fees and dates are revised through corrigenda more often than candidates expect, and an application submitted against the wrong criteria is rejected at document verification rather than at submission — by which point the cycle is over.
