About This Recruitment

Eastern Railway has notified recruitment for 15 posts under RRC/ER/Scouts & Guides Quota/2026-27. Applications are accepted online from 07 Aug 2026 to 06 Sept 2026. The prescribed qualification is Class 12 with 50% or Class 10 with an ITI or NAC, together with a mandatory Scouts or Guides qualification, and the age limit is 18 to 33 years before category relaxation is applied. The vacancies are spread across 2 distinct posts, and the category-wise split for each is set out in the vacancy table below.
Selection is made through Stage I, Stage II and Stage III. Selected candidates are placed in the pay scale of Levels 1 and 2 of the 7th CPC matrix, with grade pay of ₹1,800 or ₹1,900. The place of posting is Eastern Railway.
The application fee is ₹500, of which ₹400 is refunded on appearing in the written examination for UR, OBC and EWS (male candidates). The entire process is completed online, from registration through to fee payment and the final printout of the confirmation page. Check the notification for whether a correction window is offered, because most fields cannot be amended once the form is submitted.
Read the official notification in full before you begin the form. Eligibility, fees and dates are revised through corrigenda more often than candidates expect, and an application submitted against the wrong criteria is rejected at document verification rather than at submission — by which point the cycle is over.
