About This Recruitment

Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board has notified recruitment for 22 posts under Advt. No. 455/2026-27, dated 12 August 2026. Applications are accepted online from 17 Aug 2026 to 31 Aug 2026. The prescribed qualification is HSC with a one-year Health Sanitary Inspector's diploma or an equivalent ITI certificate, and basic computer knowledge, and the age limit is 18 to 33 years before category relaxation is applied. The vacancies are spread across 5 distinct posts, and the category-wise split for each is set out in the vacancy table below.
Selection is made through Single-stage written examination, Document verification and Final merit list. Selected candidates are placed in the pay scale of ₹26,000 a month fixed for five years, then Level 4 at ₹25,500 – ₹81,100. The place of posting is Health and Family Welfare Department, Gujarat.
The application fee is ₹500 for General and OBC. The entire process is completed online, from registration through to fee payment and the final printout of the confirmation page. Check the notification for whether a correction window is offered, because most fields cannot be amended once the form is submitted.
Read the official notification in full before you begin the form. Eligibility, fees and dates are revised through corrigenda more often than candidates expect, and an application submitted against the wrong criteria is rejected at document verification rather than at submission — by which point the cycle is over.

| Part A — Mathematical and Numerical Ability | 30 | 30 | — |

| Part B — Sanitary Inspector subject paper | 120 | 120 | — |
| Total | 210 | 210 | 3 hours |
A single CBRT or OMR paper with **one-quarter mark deducted for each wrong answer**. Every category must reach **40% on Part A and Part B separately**, and document verification is called for about twice the vacancies per category.
