Educational Qualification
The qualification must be held on or before the cut-off date stated in the notification. Final-year candidates should check whether provisional applications are permitted for this recruitment.

Selection Process
Each stage is qualifying for the next. Clearing a stage does not carry marks forward unless the notification says so.

- 2Paper I — a one-hour screening test of 100 marks, qualifying only and not counted towards merit
- 3Paper II — the Subject Aptitude Test, three hours and 120 descriptive marks, with a qualifying bar of 45% for General and 40% for reserved candidates, held the same day

Paper I covers HP general knowledge (30 marks), national and international affairs (30), Hindi (20) and English (20), with **0.25 deducted per wrong answer**. It is qualifying only — the **final merit is drawn from the 120-mark Subject Aptitude Test and the 30-mark personality test, 150 marks in all**.
