About This Recruitment

Indian Oil Corporation Limited has notified recruitment for 433 posts under IOCL/MKTG/NR/APPR/2026-27/1. Applications are accepted online from 07 Aug 2026 to 06 Sept 2026. The prescribed qualification is Class 10 with an ITI trade certificate, a three-year engineering diploma, or a degree in any discipline, depending on the apprenticeship, and the age limit is 18 to 24 years before category relaxation is applied. The vacancies are spread across 4 distinct posts, and the category-wise split for each is set out in the vacancy table below.
Selection is made through Merit list, Tie-break and Document verification, followed by the remaining stages set out below. Selected candidates are placed in the pay scale of Stipend under the Apprentices Act, 1961, plus ₹2,500 a month towards miscellaneous expenses. The place of posting is Northern Region — Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
The entire process is completed online, from registration through to fee payment and the final printout of the confirmation page. Check the notification for whether a correction window is offered, because most fields cannot be amended once the form is submitted.
Read the official notification in full before you begin the form. Eligibility, fees and dates are revised through corrigenda more often than candidates expect, and an application submitted against the wrong criteria is rejected at document verification rather than at submission — by which point the cycle is over.

Selection Process
Each stage is qualifying for the next. Clearing a stage does not carry marks forward unless the notification says so.
- 1Merit list — prepared from the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination; there is no written test
- 2Tie-break — the earlier date of birth ranks higher, and if that is equal, the higher matriculation marks
- 3Document verification — for shortlisted candidates only
- 4Pre-engagement medical fitness test — up to ₹3,000 of the cost is reimbursed
How to Apply
Complete the form in one sitting where possible, and check the preview page carefully. Most fields cannot be changed once submitted, except during the correction window.

- 2Apply through that portal using the Establishment ID given in the notification.
- 3Complete the separate preference form, indicating the locations you are willing to be posted to.
- 4Ensure both the portal application and the preference form are submitted by 5:00 pm on 6 September 2026.
