Income Tax Appellate Tribunal has notified recruitment for 42 posts under Circular No. F.301-Ad(ATD)/DR/2026-27. The prescribed qualification is A degree, with English shorthand at 120 words a minute and working knowledge of computers. The vacancies are spread across 2 distinct posts, and the category-wise split for each is set out in the vacancy table below.

Selection is made through Written examination, Skill test and Personal interview, followed by the remaining stages set out below. Selected candidates are placed in the pay scale of ₹47,600 – ₹1,51,100 at Level 8 for Senior Private Secretary; ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400 at Level 7 for Private Secretary. The place of posting is Income Tax Appellate Tribunal benches across India.

The entire process is completed online, from registration through to fee payment and the final printout of the confirmation page. Check the notification for whether a correction window is offered, because most fields cannot be amended once the form is submitted.

Read the official notification in full before you begin the form. Eligibility, fees and dates are revised through corrigenda more often than candidates expect, and an application submitted against the wrong criteria is rejected at document verification rather than at submission — by which point the cycle is over.
