About This Recruitment

Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board has notified recruitment for 357 posts under Advt. No. 06 of 2026, dated 6 July 2026. Applications are accepted online from 01 Aug 2026 to 30 Aug 2026. The prescribed qualification is A two-year draftsman certificate for Draftsman, or Matriculation with an ITI certificate in Building Construction or Carpentry for Works Supervisor, and the age limit is 18 to 40 years before category relaxation is applied. The vacancies are spread across 4 distinct posts, and the category-wise split for each is set out in the vacancy table below.
Selection is made through Written or OMR objective examination and Document verification. Selected candidates are placed in the pay scale of ₹25,500 – ₹81,100 at Level 4 for Draftsman; ₹15,900 – ₹50,400 at SL-2 for Works Supervisor. The place of posting is Jammu and Kashmir divisions.
The application fee is ₹600 for Open Merit, OBC, ALC-IB and RBA. The entire process is completed online, from registration through to fee payment and the final printout of the confirmation page. Check the notification for whether a correction window is offered, because most fields cannot be amended once the form is submitted.
Read the official notification in full before you begin the form. Eligibility, fees and dates are revised through corrigenda more often than candidates expect, and an application submitted against the wrong criteria is rejected at document verification rather than at submission — by which point the cycle is over.
