Northeast Frontier Railway has notified recruitment for 6,777 posts under NFR/NAPS/Act Apprentice/2026. Applications are accepted online from 20 Jul 2026 to 19 Aug 2026. The prescribed qualification is Matriculation with at least 50% marks and an ITI National Trade Certificate in the notified trade, and the age limit is 15 to 24 years before category relaxation is applied.

Selection is made through Merit list, Unit-wise, trade-wise and community-wise lists and Document verification, followed by the remaining stages set out below. Selected candidates are placed in the pay scale of Stipend of ₹9,600 per month in the first year, rising to ₹11,040 in the third year. The place of posting is Northeast Frontier Railway jurisdiction — Assam, West Bengal and Bihar.

The application fee is ₹100 for General, OBC and EWS (male candidates), and no fee is payable by SC, ST, PwBD, EBC and all women candidates. The entire process is completed online, from registration through to fee payment and the final printout of the confirmation page. Check the notification for whether a correction window is offered, because most fields cannot be amended once the form is submitted.

Read the official notification in full before you begin the form. Eligibility, fees and dates are revised through corrigenda more often than candidates expect, and an application submitted against the wrong criteria is rejected at document verification rather than at submission — by which point the cycle is over.
