About This Recruitment

Railway Recruitment Board has notified recruitment for 119 posts under CEN 03/2026. Applications are accepted online from 15 Jul 2026 to 14 Aug 2026. The prescribed qualification is A degree from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification, and the age limit is 20 to 33 years before category relaxation is applied.
Selection is made through Computer Based Test, Computer Based Aptitude Test and Document Verification, followed by the remaining stages set out below. Selected candidates are placed in the pay scale of Level 6 of the 7th CPC matrix, starting at ₹35,400. The place of posting is Zonal railways across India.
The application fee is ₹500, of which ₹400 is refunded on appearing in the CBT for All candidates other than the concession categories. The entire process is completed online, from registration through to fee payment and the final printout of the confirmation page. A correction window is available after applications close, and it is the only opportunity to amend most fields — details are in the dates table below.
Read the official notification in full before you begin the form. Eligibility, fees and dates are revised through corrigenda more often than candidates expect, and an application submitted against the wrong criteria is rejected at document verification rather than at submission — by which point the cycle is over.

Selection Process
Each stage is qualifying for the next. Clearing a stage does not carry marks forward unless the notification says so.
- 1Computer Based Test — 100 questions in 120 minutes, weighted heavily towards analytical ability
- 2Computer Based Aptitude Test — a second, separate aptitude paper
- 3Document Verification — original certificates checked against the form
- 4Medical Examination — against medical standard A-2, which is a demanding visual standard
Exam Pattern
Understanding the marking scheme is worth as much as the syllabus — attempt strategy depends on the negative marking below.
| Section | Questions | Marks | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Analytical and Mathematical Capability | 60 | 60 | 120 minutes for the whole paper |
| Logical Capability | 20 | 20 | — |
| Mental Reasoning | 20 | 20 | — |
| Total | 100 | 100 | 120 minutes |
**Sixty of the hundred questions are analytical and mathematical.** This is not a general-knowledge paper — aptitude is the whole test.
