About This Recruitment

Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited has notified recruitment for 2,005 posts under RVUN/Rectt.-2026-27/01, /02 (Junior Engineer-I) and /03 (Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant). Applications are accepted online from 05 Aug 2026 to 25 Aug 2026. The prescribed qualification is An engineering degree for Junior Engineer, a commerce degree for Junior Accountant, or Class 12 with a computer qualification for Junior Assistant, and the age limit is 18 to 43 years before category relaxation is applied. The vacancies are spread across 3 distinct posts, and the category-wise split for each is set out in the vacancy table below.
Selection is made through Junior Engineer-I and Junior Accountant, Junior Assistant and Junior Assistant, followed by the remaining stages set out below. Selected candidates are placed in the pay scale of ₹33,800 a month at Level 10 and ₹20,800 at Level 5 after probation; ₹23,700 and ₹14,600 during it. The place of posting is RVUN, RVPN, JVVN, AVVN and JdVVN across Rajasthan.
The application fee is ₹1,000 including GST for Unreserved. The entire process is completed online, from registration through to fee payment and the final printout of the confirmation page. Check the notification for whether a correction window is offered, because most fields cannot be amended once the form is submitted.
Read the official notification in full before you begin the form. Eligibility, fees and dates are revised through corrigenda more often than candidates expect, and an application submitted against the wrong criteria is rejected at document verification rather than at submission — by which point the cycle is over.

Vacancy Details
Vacancy counts are provisional and are revised through corrigenda. The category-wise split determines the cut-off you will actually be measured against.
| Post Name | Total |

| Junior Engineer-I — Electrical 727, Mechanical 110, Civil 32 | 869 |
| Junior Assistant and Commercial Assistant-II — across five companies | 765 |
| Junior Accountant — across five companies | 371 |

Educational Qualification
The qualification must be held on or before the cut-off date stated in the notification. Final-year candidates should check whether provisional applications are permitted for this recruitment.
| Post | Required Qualification |
|---|---|
| Junior Engineer-I (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) | A full-time four-year engineering degree taken as a regular student, or AMIE, in the relevant discipline from an AICTE-recognised institution. |
| Junior Accountant | A degree in Commerce or Business Administration; or the ICAI or ICMAI intermediate; or an MBA or M.Com with two years' experience, together with a computer qualification. |
| Junior Assistant and Commercial Assistant-II | A pass in the Senior Secondary examination from a recognised board or equivalent, together with a computer qualification. |
| All posts | Knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script and awareness of Rajasthani culture. |
- This is a Common Recruitment Exercise across five Rajasthan power companies — generation, transmission and three distribution companies.
- The company preference you record is final and cannot be changed.
- For Junior Assistant the typing test carries 60% of the final merit, more than the written paper.
- Age is reckoned as on 1 January 2027, and the upper limit for the clerical posts was raised to 43 to account for a three-year gap in recruitment.
- You may apply for more than one post, but a second application for the same post forfeits the earlier fee.
Age Limit & Relaxation
Upper age limits are relaxed by category. Read the row that applies to you before you conclude you are ineligible.
| Category | Upper Age Relaxation |
|---|---|
| SC, ST, BC, MBC and EWS men | 5 years |
| SC, ST, BC, MBC and EWS women | 10 years |
| Unreserved women | 5 years |
| Persons with Benchmark Disabilities | 5 years on top of any category relaxation |
| Ex-Servicemen | Length of service plus 3 years, to a maximum of 50; a flat 15 years for Junior Engineer-I |
| Serving Nigam employees, widows, divorcees and 1971 war repatriates | No upper age limit |
Age is reckoned as on 1 January 2027. Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant run 18 to 43 — relaxed from 40 because of a three-year gap in recruitment — and Junior Engineer-I runs 21 to 40, or 21 to 43 at RVPN.
Pay Scale
Figures are the pay scale, not take-home pay. Dearness allowance, house rent allowance and other allowances are paid over and above the basic pay shown.
| Post | Pay Level | Pay Scale |
|---|---|---|
| Junior Engineer-I | Level 10 | ₹33,800 a month after probation; ₹23,700 during it |
| Junior Accountant | Level 10 | ₹33,800 a month after probation; ₹23,700 during it |
| Junior Assistant and Commercial Assistant-II | Level 5 | ₹20,800 a month after probation; ₹14,600 during it |
Selection Process
Each stage is qualifying for the next. Clearing a stage does not carry marks forward unless the notification says so.
- 1Junior Engineer-I and Junior Accountant — a single two-hour computer-based test, with no interview
- 2Junior Assistant — a screening pre-examination that carries no weight, admitting about ten times the vacancies to the main examination
- 3Junior Assistant — a main objective examination, then Hindi and English typing tests of 50 marks each
- 4Document verification — for about twice the vacancies, on merit
- 5Probation — a two-year trainee engagement
Exam Pattern
Understanding the marking scheme is worth as much as the syllabus — attempt strategy depends on the negative marking below.
| Section | Questions | Marks | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Junior Engineer and Junior Accountant — Part A, discipline-specific | — | 60% weight | — |
| Junior Engineer and Junior Accountant — Part B, reasoning, mathematics, general knowledge with Rajasthan focus, Hindi and English | — | 40% weight | — |
| Junior Engineer and Junior Accountant — total | — | 100% | 2 hours |
| Junior Assistant — Hindi typing, speed and efficiency | — | 50 | 20 minutes |
| Junior Assistant — English typing, speed and efficiency | — | 50 | 20 minutes |
Every stage is objective and **there is no interview for any post**. The qualifying mark is 30% for unreserved candidates and 20% for SC, ST, BC, MBC, EWS, Ex-Servicemen and PwBD. For Junior Assistant the **final merit is 40% main examination and 60% typing test** — the typing decides the post. Where two candidates tie, the older ranks higher.
