Educational Qualification
The qualification must be held on or before the cut-off date stated in the notification. Final-year candidates should check whether provisional applications are permitted for this recruitment.

- Applying takes three steps for some posts: submit online by 15 September, email the saved PDF by 18 September, and — for proper-channel and deputation candidates — post a signed hard copy by 28 September.
- Which stage decides your rank differs by post. For Lower Division Clerk the typing test is only qualifying and the written marks decide; for Technician and Halwai-cum-Cook it is the trade or cooking test that ranks you.
- Women pay no fee for any post, as do PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates.
- Apply separately, with a separate fee, for each post you want.
- Government and PSU employees must apply through proper channel with vigilance clearance.

Selection Process
Each stage is qualifying for the next. Clearing a stage does not carry marks forward unless the notification says so.
- 1Scientist 'C' — interview, with a qualifying written test possible; merit on the interview marks
- 2Scientific Assistant 'B' and Technician 'B' — a qualifying written test, then a trade test; merit on the trade test
- 3Lower Division Clerk — a written test, then a qualifying typing skill test; merit on the written test alone
- 4Security Guard A — a qualifying physical fitness test, then a written test; merit on the written test
- 5Work Assistant 'A' — an objective written test only
- 6Halwai-cum-Cook — a qualifying written test, then a cooking skill test; merit on the skill test
